Impertek at the University of Perugia: a lecture on Pedestal Line solutions

Training and innovation

On March 3, 2025, Impertek delivered a lecture at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DICA) of the University of Perugia as part of the Technical Architecture course taught by Professor Giovanni Mochi. The session was attended by students from the Master’s program in Building Engineering-Architecture and the Bachelor’s program in Civil Engineering.

Led by Federico Giacomini, Area Manager at Impertek, the lecture provided an in-depth look at technologies for outdoor flooring solutions and the innovative products offered by Impertek.

During the session, the company’s journey was outlined—this year marking its 40th anniversary— highlighting how on-site needs have continuously driven the development of high-performance products and innovative solutions. A comparative analysis of traditional and raised flooring installation methods was discussed, examining the evolution of construction techniques along with the advantages and limitations of each approach. The lecture also introduced some key products from the Pedestal Line range for outdoor raised flooring, showcasing their versatility and adaptability to various applications. Additionally, national and international projects completed by Impertek were presented, followed by a deep dive into the MegaPro4.0 and Sync for Revit software—powerful tools designed to assist designers and technicians in planning and installation.

In addition to introducing students to Impertek’s solutions, Professor Giovanni Mochi aimed to impart a broader message: in their future careers, these students will face real-world challenges of varying complexity, requiring effective solutions—just as Impertek does in its daily operations.

This initiative is part of the broader collaboration between Impertek and the University of Perugia, established in July 2024. The partnership seeks to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering students a practical perspective on the dynamics of the construction sector.
